Why Smart Mirror?
Discovering embedded and automatic control systems, we delved into smart devices, smart hubs and
the internet of things, known as the Internet of Things. It is widely known that smart devices are the future. In the future everything will be
automatically, there will be systems that will help us more and more in our everyday life, making it easier.
Studying the needs in the daily life of modern man, we made the decision to create a system in which we will give him
the information he is looking for in an instant.
Through the mirror the user can see the time, the date, the weather, the tasks he has to do that day and the following days
through his calendar, the sports activities he did during the day, listen to music or chat with the smart assistant and
ask him or ask him anything.
Our system's smart assistant doesn't just stop there. With the right accessory, it has the ability to control all the devices inside
at home or somewhere else such as turning the TV on or off, turning the volume up or down, changing the channel, showing you what temperatures
has in your second home. Turn on or off the air conditioning, even control any other device with remote control or Wi-Fi access.
Our smart mirror is not just an integrated information system. It's a normal computer! With a common keyboard and
mouse or ideally, a wireless keyboard and mouse, the user can surf the web, watch videos, listen to music,
to download files to his desktop, as he could with any other common computer.
In building this integrated system, we thought about everything that its user will need, the audience that will be addressed, as well as how
it can be used in a small or large house or even a hotel. There is no doubt that the ideal position for him is either nearby
at the front door of the house, or in the bedroom. In the first case, the user has already prepared to leave the house, he looks for the last
wears himself in the mirror, sees the time to know if he is late, the weather to choose the right coat, the calendar to
confirm the appointment time. On the contrary, when he returns home, he has the ability to see immediately what time he returned, what activities
it has to do with the same or the following days, how did today's sports exercise go. If a visitor comes to the house, he has the possibility to
scans the QR Code with his mobile phone and automatically connects to the local Wi-Fi. In the second case where the mirror can be in the bedroom,
the user can immediately see the same information before going to sleep or upon waking up. Along with that, he can use him like
computer, placing it in such a position where it can either lie down or sit down to browse the internet.
This mirror can either be placed on a fixed piece of furniture or on the wall, beautifying the space around it and making the house
it looks more modern and contemporary. Without any doubt it is intended for smart homes and not, since it is a multi-tool for everyday life.
In a hotel, the user can see on the screen what time breakfast, lunch or some event is, scan with his mobile phone
QR code to connect to the network, see the time and weather. to share his mobile screen in the mirror and listen to music
from him.
